The owners provide some background on how Pitstop got started: "I got my first model car in 1969 and have since been collecting them. I opened my first private pub while living in Elliot in the Eastern Cape where all my model cars were displayed. After moving to the South Coast all the model cars were locked away in storage. During 2005 I decided to dust off my cars and display them in full glory. With all of this Pitstop was born and the collection of models is still growing with plenty of the older models still packed away, waiting for their chance in the lime light. The collection is priceless and not for sale and when visiting Pitstop please feel free to admire the collection but kiddies' hands should be kept in their pockets.
