A self-taught chef, baker, entrepreneur and the founder of K’s Cuisine, Kershnie has just made her mark on The Taste Master South Africa, airing weekly on SABC 2. And she’s not just competing , she’s winning. Her latest victory? The Burger Challenge, where her signature flavours and bold creativity landed her a nationwide spotlight. Her winning burger is now featured at Food Lover’s Market stores across the country. For four weeks, South Africans get a taste of her passion , literally.

But Kershnie’s journey started long before cameras and competitions. She began cooking at just 10 years old, learning the rhythms of spice, flavour, and storytelling from her parents and grandparents. Her kitchen wasn’t a trend,  it was tradition. A place where meals meant love, celebration, and connection.

“I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself,” she shared. “This is my way of proving the sky is the limit.”
