🔥Meet the Orca with a mission - Tweni's Newest Recycling Hero

There’s something magnificent rising above Tweni Beach’s top-level parking - and no, it’s not just the view. It’s a shimmering, wire-framed orca with one clear message: “Feed me bottles, not rubbish.” Thanks to the vision and generosity of Peter Horlock and the local surf legends at Tweni 2’s, this striking installation now proudly watches over the coastline, turning heads and turning tides in the fight against plastic pollution. Installed with heart by Arthur Edwards, Kyle, and Riley Solomon, the orca is no ordinary sculpture. It’s a symbol, a call to action, a community-powered nudge to remind us that what we toss away never really disappears, especially when it ends up in the ocean. This is bottle-only recycling with flair, it’s art, it’s education, and most of all, it’s a gift to the town from people who truly care. The Tweni Tidy Town initiative has never been about big budgets or faraway funders, it’s about small acts with big impact, right here at home. Every plastic bottle you pop into this orca helps protect the marine life we’re so lucky to live beside. Every photo snapped and shared spreads the message further. Snap your pics of the tummy-full Orca on HCS and help share the message. Want to know more? Or better yet , want to get involved?
