MY SOUTH COAST MINUTE - MINI FILM FEST -LOCAL FIRST FOOD AND FUN
Your favourite moments. Your favourite coast. Your story, stitched into one minute of magic.

Your coast. Your lens. Your story.

A South Coast Mini Film Fest

Some places are pretty, but the South Coast? it’s alive.

It’s the roar of the ocean, loud enough to drown out your stress.
It’s Margate Beach during holiday season, where cooler boxes, camp chairs, and beach balls form their own ecosystem.

It’s the hush of Uvongo Waterfall, the kind of quiet that makes your whole body exhale and think,
“Yoh… this place. This is medicine.”

It’s the lazy Saturday breakfast at your favourite café.
The braai smoke drifting over the lagoon at sunset.

The paddlers and surfers at sunrise.
The fish that nearly made you famous.
The golden light that hits the rocks at Ramsgate just right.
The memory you didn’t plan but replay in your mind long after you’ve gone home.

We want your collection

of these moments, not one clip, not one location, but your whole South Coast story stitched into a single minute.

Welcome to My South Coast Minute

the first-ever, proudly South Coast, community-made video showcase where you get to show us this coastline the way you actually experience it.

And here’s the best part:
You don’t have to be local to enter.
You just have to love this place enough to pull out your phone and hit record.

🎥 What we want you to make

• Uvongo Waterfall pretending to fix your whole life in one afternoon
• The holiday traffic chaos that somehow feels like tradition
• Your partner pretending to be brave at Oribi Gorge
• That first cappuccino that made your shoulders drop
• A curry so good you lost track of the conversation
• A sunset that made you believe in soft days again
• Your favourite moments

Raw. Real. Beautiful. Chaotic.
If it feels South Coast, it counts.

💛 Why this matters

The world is full of polished ads and perfect footage.
But life on the South Coast is not polished,  it’s real.
It’s messy.
It’s joyful.
It’s healing.
It’s community.
It’s memories you didn’t script but wish you could bottle.

This challenge isn’t about influencers.
Or perfect editing.
Or who has the nicest phone.

It’s about us.
The people who live here, the people who return to this coastline year after year.
The people who breathe deeper here.
The people who find themselves again here.

So grab your phone.
Capture your moments
Send it in.
Your South Coast story deserves to be seen.
