Terms & conditions
- Local FIrst only accepts listings from legit businesses and all businesses are vetted first
- Local First only accepts listings for locally-owned businesses that do not receive national marketing (many franchises not born locally we reserve the right to decide)
- Listings need to be kept updated and relevant, we will unpublish listings with incorrect information
- Negative reviews will be sorted off -line and not published online. We reserve the right to remove listings at any time, especially due to bad service, or common complaints not being attended too
- Local First promotes locally-owned businesses ONLY alongside #thelocalfirstchallenge, this forms part of our mission in the Hibiscus Coast being grounded in local ownership supporting one another
- A business joining the Local First advertising does so with the expectation to support local themselves. Should a business have an opportunity to support local and visibly is not we reserve the right to terminate advertising.
- Should the advertiser wish to cancel his/her advertisement, it must be done within 24 hours of the signed invoice. In failing to do so, the advertiser will be liable for the full amount outstanding.
- Should artwork have been produced and the advertiser wishes to cancel the order, the advertiser will be liable for the design costs at market-related rates.
- Social Media Management – Should payment not be received by the last business day of the month, promotions will be suspended, until the invoice is paid in full. After the first trial month, a full months notice is required thereafter, should the advertiser wish to cancel the promotion.
- Your Social manager will require all artwork or design ideas sent before the beginning of the last week of the month to ensure all accounts are ready for schedule 1st of the new month. Please stay in contact with your social manager to ensure the best communicative experience
- If the advertiser cancels the balance of an agreed programme of promotions, it relinquishes any right to a pre-agreed series discount to which it was previously entitled and advertisements forming part of such programme (both those published and those not yet published) will be paid at the appropriate rate set out in the rate card from time to time.
- Hibiscus Coast Seconds and Local First shall not be subject to any liability whatsoever for any failure to publish or circulate all or any part of the agreed promotion because of strikes, work stoppages, accidents, fires, hardware failures, acts of god or censorships any other circumstances not within our control.
