✨ What makes it special?
It’s free.
It’s scenic.
And it’s full of heart.
Starting from the Port Shepstone Country Club, the route loops around in a safe circuit – and ends with ocean views, and if you’re lucky, a post-walk splash in the sea. You’ll often hear a playlist in the background, and definitely be greeted with genuine smiles.
But more than that, it’s proof of what happens when locals decide to build something good together.
In her original post, Hayley imagined:
“Good music, relaxed atmosphere, families, kids, dogs welcome… just a lekker way to kick off the weekend feeling good.”
And that’s exactly what it’s become. What started as a hopeful question “Would anyone be interested?” was met with dozens of enthusiastic yeses, quick teamwork, and boots on the ground.
People showed up. Still do. In numbers that would make even seasoned event planners pause.
This isn’t your average Saturday stroll, it’’s become a local ritual. A gathering space. A wellness check-in. A fresh-air therapy session. A celebration of what’s right with the world.
💚 Why it matters
We live in a world moving too fast. But The Local Loop slows it down, in the best way. It reminds us to look up, to connect, to breathe deeply, and to remember: you’re not alone, you’re part of a living, loving, laughing community that still believes in good things.
🗓️ Show up
You don’t need to book, register, or be “fit.”
You just need to arrive at 08:00, every Saturday, at Port Shepstone Country Club, and be part of something that’s making the South Coast better, one step at a time.
This is what Local First looks like in action.
This is why we love where we live.
